Exiting East Bay, Chevron to move HQ to Texas

Chevron Corporation announced Friday it would relocate its headquarters from San Ramon, California to Houston, Texas. Amanda Hari reports.

“Green Jobs” pay about 1/3 of traditional Oil & Gas jobs, and that’s with their govt handouts. That’s not sustainability folks. Unlike the retired gentleman, Chevron folks who are still working will need to move to TX to maintain any sort of quality of life, because there’s nothing else in CA that will replace their income. Probably ironic the retiree’s politics is what motivated his employer’s decision to leave the state - sad.

I used to work for Chevron in California as a process engineer. Started at the Richmond refinery and moved to San Ramon HQ later in my career. If I still had that job today, I would be looking for employment elsewhere.

I guess this is proof that you can not change democrats/liberals mentality or ideology. The retired guy says he could not move to Texas because of the political environment, yet ignores the reason Chevron is moving is because of his political ideology. I guess because he's retired, it's a non-issue for him rather than if he was still working. Just hope he stays in California forever. We have met Bay area transplants to our state.
