Okay guys i worked it out!

When the folded box pops out, there are no cards inside, rewatch and look at where the bicycle logo is facing.
Then when he puts it to his ear to hear the cards, the box has changed from the popup box to the real box filled with cards.
He said he hasn't done editing, so this means that he must have switched it behind his neck or somewhere really quickly! Correct me if I'm wrong!


(Pay attention to the box's logo and the back of the box if you don't get it ;D )
