The future was blank when paper mario oragami king came out in 2020. That came out and then we knew literally nothing about the rest of the year until they had their twitter announcements for Age of Calamity and the mario all stars direct

I love the fact that we don't know what's next. That just means more surprises, more shadow drops, probably ports/remasters, but they might just do another 'Metroid Dread', announce a game in June and it's out in October. I do agree that the next really major game will probably be for the next system, but Nintendo aren't just going to stop selling games after June. Fingers still crossed for F-Zero and the Batman Arkham collection

Honestly I’m exhausted from content creators and their community complaining about video games lately. Maybe the Hogwarts drama has thrown me over the edge. But imma have to check out for a while.

I gotta disagree here. They killed the Direct the other day. Depending on the NSO drops, we could be drip fed classics from now till the next Direct around June/July/August. TotK is coming, Pikmin 4 is coming, shadow drops are always a possibility at any moment, they could announce a new console or upgrade on any random day, and there's plenty of already released and upcoming games to keep us busy through the spring. You gotta believe Zack! C'mon! Stay positive as you always say

I'm thrilled with the direct and looking more forward than ever to TotK, and now I can pile Pikmin 4 and Metroid Prime Remastered into my rotation. It's going to be a great year.

I agree with Patrick. It's probably a sign of the life cycle of the switch coming to a close. Zelda TOTK is probably the last big title before the new system. I love the switch design and functionality so I hope they don't stray too far with the next console.

To be honest I'm not anticipating any new system. Instead I think we're looking at getting some ports. Or remasters of old titles. For the longest time a lot of the Nintendo fans were looking at either Oracle of Ages and seasons. Or Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. I mean after the announcement Pikmin 4, Metroid Prime remaster, and tears of the Kingdom trailer. After all that what's left? If Tears of the kingdom was not delayed. I'm certain we would have seen new hardware by now.

I reckon until 2024 when the next console hopefully should arrive, Nintendo will give out the ports/remasters plaster to cover the next half of 2023. Maybe that's where the Windwaker and Twilight princess ports come into play, since that has been rumoured for time.

Bro, you're just going to have to get creative with content. I know the news thing feels comfortable but you're SO MUCH MORE than news. Besides in a couple months you'll have TOTK, Pikmin 4, and Hogwarts Legacy to make hours upon hours of content for. Trust me; Hogwarts Legacy will be a crazy amount of content. This game is stellar.. Absolutely spectacular! There are so many story and lore things to talk about.. Characters and their relations to the HP era to talk about... It's insane the amount of love and dedication this team has put into this game.

I’m fairly confident Nintendo will have another direct come June or July outlining their plans for the second half of the year. You are jumping the gun. In fact, I find it exciting not knowing anything that’s coming past July. All this means is the next traditional direct should be full of new surprising announcements. Just enjoy the moment. The first half of this year is really solid with games like pikmin 4, Tears of the Kingdom, Prime Remastered, etc.

I don’t know what should come next..I think there is enough games to keep people busy with the Switch. I had all versions of Nintendo systems minus the Wii U.. when I new system comes it will come…I’m not worried and my family still enjoys the Switch

Look I get that their aren’t that many particular games that they announced like a new donkey Kong or Mario game or anything else like that, I get it, but at least they’ve announced some games that people are looking forward to play like, Pikmin 4, Zelda tears of the kingdom, a remaster of Metroid prime and as long as their are people looking forward to playing those games then Nintendos future isn’t bleak. Plus another thing you got to take into consideration is that it’s hard to make new games and maintain other projects, I mean heck they are busy with the mario movie their making and not to mention the supposedly rumoured legend of Zelda movie being made and they also have to take care of their theme park in universal studio in seperate countries. So don’t be mad or upset with Nintendo about the game you didn’t get, just try and be more understandable about what they’re dealing with.
