The reason directional launch pads can't work for enemies and also why ceiling zapper deal ludicrous damage is because they're both ripped from Save the World.

Save the World is PvE so theres only one team of up to 4 players, so the feature for non teamed players using the pads isn't coded.

The damage numbers in Save the World grow exponentially with progression, and the base damage of stuff is much higher than BR, so thats why the traps do a lot of damage
