I agree with everything you said! I do enjoy it and I mean it’s a perfect clone of what it’s cloning. I’m glad I never spent the money on the Pdm, this scent profile is definitely not worth the price tag. The price of liquid brun is just about right for it, smells great but I have many other that can scratch the vanilla itch for me. Now if the opening stuck around for longer I’d be really happy. I got 18 samples from PDM and honestly i only like 3 of them, Haltane is one of them . Althair on the other hand its so over the top sweet with this vanilla praline and orange blossom, 5-10 years ago only a woman will wear this kind of perfume, i understand that now men to wear women perfumes and the opposite. By the way Althair was a BEAST mode over 12 hours with 3 hours strong projection.

I think this smells too close to by the fireplace but with more vanilla. After dry down the smokiness comes out and that's when i thought i smelled this before somewhere.

From what I am seeing this is equal one to one on the dry down this is where the rubber meets the road. Havent tried it yet but incredible value.

It's interesting how many people I've come across have said that they didn't like Althair when they first smelled it, but it eventually grew on them. I was the exact same - ordered a decant a few months ago and was totally unimpressed when I first sprayed it on my skin. A screechy synthetic note in the opening, then syrupy sweet in the drydown. However, after the 3rd, 4th time of applying it, I really became addicted to the specific vanilla sweetness it offers. I'm from Austria, and the scent always reminds me of "Vanillekipferl" (vanilla crescents). Now that my decant was finally used up, I ordered Liquid Brun as a substitute. I really hope you (and the majority of YouTube) are right and it's actually an almost 100% clone of Althair. Can't wait for it to arrive!

I sprayed this on my hand in a fragrance store, was curious because of the hype, I wasn’t moved by it or wowed by it, to me it was a familiar scent profile, I haven’t smelled Althair, would love a comparison between this and Lattafa Art of Nature 2 though
