😱 Unique Guard Dialogue You Might’ve Missed #skyrim

It took me 13 years to find out that when you visit one of the major cities in Skyrim for the very first time, the guards can actually have some unique dialogue. Of course, you’ll always end up talking to the guards in Riften and Whiterun, because they won’t let you into the city unless you speak to them first. But in the other cities, it’s much easier to miss these special lines.

The Markarth guards immediately turned my assumption of the city in a shady city of conspiracy.

First time in Markath, someone gets killed.
First time in Solitude, someone gets killed.

In Riften you came actually avoid the guards the first time you show up by walking around to the docks and entering the city through the blackbrier meadery

i believe Dawnstar also has some unique dialogue, when you visit for the first time guards will comment that "you come to Dawnstar at a strange time, traveler, everyone is plagued by nightmares"
after that they only have generic dialogue

Actually, you can get into Rfiten without speaking to a single guard by going through the Black-Brair Meadrey.

I make a habit of not talking to guards because i usually have stolen good on me, lol

100 bucks says I can get into Riften without first speaking to the guards. Or we can agree that the Narrator is wrong about having to speak to the riften guards first.

When I did my most recent playthrough, my alternate start placed me in riften. After spending days there in town leveling up and gambling I leave the city and the guard immediately stops me to tell me I need to pay the fine to enter the city.. 😂

For me, everytime i go to windhelm without fail, the guard at the door tells me about Arentino. Does that count?

If i recall correctly, when you first come to Markarth the guards will say:

"welcome to Markarth, safest city in the Reach."
