Looks like Nvidia is noticing people want to move to Linux. One benefit I'm noticing regarding switching Nvidia gpus is not having to mess with the drivers as multiple gpus are covered in one meta package. I literally bricked a windows 🪟 install by not uninstalling the old graphics driver first.

On the current year Nvidia has been amazing, the evolution of their driver quality has increased tenfold. Also, the fact that now we have an open version as well, I can only see good things from here onward. I am on an NVIDIA RTX3090 and haven't used Wayland since February.

I *may* be finally switching to Linux desktop next year but I own NVIDIA GPUs so it's good to see that there is progress here. My desktop Linux experiments ended in disappointment so far. Hopefully next year will be better.

Seems pretty flawless in arch with latest driver not a single error logged in dmesg on my 4070 i9 laptop. Now if we gwe worked it would be icing on the cake

Despite the shit Nvidia has gotten in the past (justified or not) Nvidia is smashing it at the moment for Linux support.

NVIDIA is worth if you are content creator for sure. But for most Linux users AMD is better economical choose.

What driver package do you recommend currently, nvidia or nvidia-open? nvidia-open seems promising but rough around the edges. Curious to hear other opinions though.
