Currently sitting on Trent+Gvardiol+Gabriel, with 2x £4m DEFs on bench. I like shot-taking attacking DEFs this season, as their shots compensate for their BP nerfs when conceding goals. Also, they’re great set-and-forget options, as even on poor defensive weeks (e.g. vs Man City) they can still grab attacking returns on set pieces or from open play.

My defence so far is - Liverpool / City / Fulham / Everton / Villa with a Palace keeper, rotate really well. Then at GW6 Transfer an Arsenal defender in, is the plan so far.

Great overview on all the defense options available this year, Harry. DO you think Trent is worth the 7.0m investment? Since we don't know how many Liverpool clean-sheets to expect under Slot. With Haaland, Isak, Salah and Gvardiol becoming pretty difficult to not pick, the 1-1.5m saved by not getting Trent would go a long way in balancing out the rest of the team.

Atm I am sitting on Raya - TAA - Gvardiol and Munoz and I am convincing myself Munoz will outscore Porro. I dont like the 4.5 options at all, exept Leif Davis !

Currently have this:


Miguel - Benda
Trent - Gvardiol - Hall - Konsa - Barco
Palmer - Son - Saka - Bruno - MGW
Isak - Muniz - Pedro

Feel like I can't go without Watkins being as I don't have Salah or Haaland, but I also see Bruno + Pedro > Watkins + 4.5/5m mid, and I don't want to sacrifice any of my 3 premium midfielders coz that feels like the only way I can justify no Salah. What do you guys suggest I do to make my attack stronger?

Good overview, but whats up with Guehi moving to Newcastle. I think that move makes it a really strong option for a 4.5

I'm going 3x 4.0m defenders. They rotate nicely and I'm not sure HOW much more you get from a 4.5m option. That 0.5 is much needed unless Smith-Rowe becomes Rogers in first XI
