Most roots are usually the size of your fingers. That baby is massive. I carry a small hand pruner instead of a saw. If it's too large for them, I usually move on. At 66 years of age and a spinal injury I have no choice.

I bet Butch is a hoot to hunt with 😁 Can't wait to see when you go back, what's under that root!

I am a little late to the party, but better late than never.
First off, I subbed to your channel. You have a lot of interesting adventures.
Second, I would love to detect with Ringy and KG. I am glad they are done with their world tour and are back home. They introduced a whole new 'fun' to the hobby with 'Diggers' and their terms which are now commonplace.
Third, great finds everyone. I have been at this hobby since '78 and really experienced a boom in detectorists. We used to be few and far between. Now we are many... saving all kinds of history before its gone or paved over.
I love this hobby. It is so much fun and (historically) rewarding.

So glad I was recommended to your site by Loy, "Diggin with Seven." I am a member of Relics Radio group. So much knowledge there, and I think here as well.

That's what I love about my state. You can hunt colonial in the morning and after lunch hit the Civil War side. Sometimes you got both on the same site m
