Lifecoach wasn't roping to make a play decision on Turn 1 and 2. He was roping to do the later turn math beforehand. Long explanation: He saw Frothing Berserker, Death's Bite, and Emperor Thaurissan, so he knew and he had Turn 4 Bite, Turn 5 emperor, and 2 mana Frothing on Turn 6. From there he made note of the formula for how much damage he had in his hand in relation to the number of minions on board, and kept track of those numbers. After every draw or minion play, he just updated the formula for the win condition and plugged the numbers in. That's one way you can avoid having to do all the math on the critical turn. When the casters were unsure about the math on turn 6, Lifecoach already had the numbers from a few turns before. Do the calculations go to waste a lot of the time due to crazy RNG? Sure. Does it still improve his chance of winning over time? Yeah, absolutely.
