2021 BMW 330I REVIEW - Better Than Mercedes And Audi - Here Is Why

My review of the 2021 Audi S4

My review of the 2020 Genesis G70

Today I review the BMW 3 series. Specifically, the 2021 BMW 330i. I’ve mentioned in past videos that the compact luxury sport sedan segment is one of the most difficult segments to enter. Mainly due to the extensive experience that three particular companies have gained through decades of development. The BMW 3 series, the Mercedes Benz C class, and the Audi A4. These three have dominated the segment for decades, and today I can say that without a doubt, the BMW 3 series is the best of them all.

All of these cars share a similar price point, starting around $40,000. The BMW 330i has a powerful enough base engine with plenty of torque, a beautifully sculpted and sharp exterior, and most importantly a serene interior with the latest tech. The phrase “The ultimate driving machine” remains prevalent even in the BMW 330i. The thick steering wheel, the proper driving aids, and a responsive engine all contribute to the tremendous driving experience. The exterior design is easily the most handsome to look at compared to the C class and the A4. Although not always true, this generation of 3 series is easily the sharpest model yet. In other words, enjoy it now because I believe the 3 series is at its peak.

Watch the full video to see why I believe the 2021 BMW 330i is the best compact luxury sport sedan on the market today.

I added the Dinan Power Tune on to my 325 xDrive and it added up to 30 horsepower when paired with the app and also has a valet mode. It does not void the warranty if you have it installed at a certified BMW dealer.

You have to spend at least 47-50k to get the features most people want. That is too much $$ IMO. Additionally, the depreciation on these things is ridiculous. Check out the prices on 2020 models. I've seen them 10k cheaper than a new one! And, no matter how much you spend you can't get ventilated seats. Don't get me wrong, I like BMW but I just don't see the value here. I recently drove a 2021 Honda Accord Touring. I know, it is not a BMW. But with a sticker price of $38K you get every option that the bmw comes with except for the heated steering wheel (a 300 dollar option). Same horsepower, same torque, better depreciation percentage, and less expensive to maintain. Even an Acura TLX should be on your shopping list. I do agree with leasing instead of buying. Out of warranty maintenance and repair costs will be crazy expensive. Maybe that is how they get you to buy a new one after the warranty expires.

I rented one, had it for two weeks, they= key is to manually shift it in sport mode. Yuo can keep it at a higher RPM where the turbos are spooled up. It's so much more responsive and controllable. for sport triving its a must

Yes i agree. I have a 2019 330i and was way better than any of the cross shopped competition. And i was coming out of a 2016 f30 328 that was rather dissapointing. Also, the open pore wood totally evalates the interior. Great car!

I own the 2018 330i XDrive and I have to agree the driving experience is way better than the Audi and Merc. The firmness in handling is too good. And yes those 300Nm torque makes a lot of diff

Adam, thank you, great video. Your explanations are pleasant and objective. I totally agree with you, this car is worth what it costs, by far. I bought a 330i 2020 almost two years ago and it is a great car. Regards from Mexico.

Did you notice it has a configurable how strong you want the lane departure and change feature. Looks like you are driving with strong lane keep configuration. change it to low and it won't feel that strong.

I used to work for the government chauffeur department in Germany. I drove BMWs from 225e, 330e, 530e to 745e . They were all one year leases. We drove a lot of miles and never we had an issue with one of them . As a German living in the U.S. I'm not a huge fan of German cars because they tend to have a lot of expensive technical issues BUT BMW really stands out . I'm confident to say they're still reliable I would buy one myself. What I love about BMW is the ride quality fit and finish. We had a brand new 2021 Audi A6 in our fleet. Loved that car but not as good as BMW when it comes to quality. Stick with BMW guys.

It’s 2021. Why did BMW still sell a 330i without M sport and glass cockpit?
