The Langoliers (1995) 720p AI Upscaled

"Most of the passengers on an airplane disappear, and the remainder land the plane in a mysteriously barren airport."

This was a challenge but I think we got an acceptable result, much better than it was anyways. Going further than 720p only results in artifacts, so this is the best we get for now. Enjoy!

Thank you for putting this on. I used to watch this movie with my dad when I was a kid, and we would go to our family cottage just me and him and we would always sit down on the couch late at night and watch this movie he passed away 3 years ago now. I forgot all about this movie till today, and it brought a tear to my eye.

Edit: Thanks for all the love and kind words. It really means a lot to me. I really appreciate it ❤️

Born in 84 and if I’d only known it wasn’t gonna get any better than the 90s I would’ve stopped and appreciated more

One of my childhood favourites, used to watch it regularly on a VHS player with popcorn. Movies and stories likes this have always fascinated me.

Man, I saw this in the nineties as a four part miniseries. Been so long. What a great surprise to come across this. Going to enjoy the next couple of hours :D

Four Past Midnight was the title of the collection. I could not sleep until I finished The Langoliers! The book is fantastic!

Thanks for posting this video. I actually watched it the first time it was broadcasted on FREE television. At that time, Steven King movies were all over the place. Great fun.

This movie in my humble opinion is perfect - a true masterpiece of liminal spaces and quiet and calm dreamscape. Capturing the essence of the 90s in a digital bottle realm to be consumed on long nights of slumber

There have been lots of adaptations of Stephen King's stories. This has been one of the best, because genuinely humanly engaging. I really cared about these people - in their old, and new, situations! Many thanks - to Stephen King, the actors and directors of this movie. And to you for posting it!

I saw this film when it first came out on VHS back in the day, in my opinion it's one of the best t.v. movie adaptations of Stephen Kings novels.
Thanks for the upload, Awesome quality.

Thank you for posting this!! I saw it on TV as a kid, and I've never forgotten it, or Bronson Pinchot's unhinged portrayal of the already unhinged Craig Toomey. The way Dinah says "CrAEg" over and over cracks me up every time. This movie is pure camp, and i love it. Quality looks fantastic, good call on the upscale.

The dude who played Toomey did enough acting for the entire rest of the cast. Chewed more scenery than the Langoliers themselves. Great performance, no notes.

After seeing this again years later, I realized a couple things that make this so good. First, the creep out you get is very similar to twilight zone in its subtlety, its use of quiet and letting the viewer catch on without gore bombardment. Second, there's not much going on through most of the film but the characters are so great that you are absorbed in them and don't notice or need it.
