Sorry to everyone who thinks this is an open & shut stand your ground case. This kid revoked his right to that because he wasn't supposed to even be in posession of a gun in the first place thanks to his prior conviction. So unless this kid has the money to hire Jose Baez, he's probably gonna serve life behind bars.

I'm located in central FL and in my mid 60's. An incident happened to me about a month ago just a few blocks from my home in an upper middle class residential neighborhood.

I was leaving a Circle K after getting gas and I honked my horn in short toot to get the person's attention because he was backing up and it didn't look like they saw me. This (I assume) young Hispanic person followed me out of the parking lot onto a 25mph road. He passed me going fast close to my driver's side and there was an oncoming vehicle coming from the other direction and they almost didn't get over in time. I was litterally a block from where I would turn onto the road where my home is located. He not only broke several traffic laws, ie speeding, passing in a no passing zone, purposely coming inches from my vehicle he almost collided with an oncoming vehicle. I slowed down and waited until he got out of sight because I didn't want this person to find out where I lived. Thankfully my wife wasn't with me.

I don't normally carry but after that incident I carry in my vehicle now as that was scary, it proves we don't know what these immature kids are capable of doing, they are wielding a multi-ton vehicle around and have anger issues. I told a good friend who is a retired state trooper about the incident and he advised that I start carrying. If these kids can't handle someone letting them know they're about to get into an accident, how can they be expected to handle life in general, it appears they have a complete disrespect for laws, everyone and everything. Play stooopid games win stooopid prizes.

To my fellow Riverview folks, drive defensively. Let people go ahead if they are driving crazy. Slow down, create distance and stay calm. This is another example of how quickly road rage can escalate. You can even sit in the car and get shot at by some lunatic. Stay safe!!!

I’m confused. Notwithstanding the erratic driving, the “victim” was the initial aggressor who threw the first punch? That certainly does not warrant a murder, but why did the victim assert physical violence?
