Long exposure ocean or waterfalls has been done to death and looks more boring now than sharp images. Personally if i’m shooting a water scene I like to stay around the 1/10-1/60 region to capture the motion whilst retaining shape and texture.

Your Peak Design tripod cannot handle shooting at the beach. I know first hand, I have one as well.

Only problem with this approach is that the result is beautiful so millions of others have already done it. Find a story on beach and take a shot even with your cell phone.. Gear is not as important
