Trigonometry is the study of triangles. "Trigon" (aka triangle) and "metry" (the study of). It's super useful for all triangles, not just right angled ones.

soh cah toa. there’s more, sha cho cao. The first letters are in order (talking about sha cho cao) Secant, Cosecant, and Cotangent. SOH CAH TOA however, is Sine Cosine and Tangent. You already know the last letters. These first letters are the 6 reciprocal identities in trigonometry. Remember, O-Opposite (the height) A- Adjacent (the base) and H-Hypotenuse. Hope you can ace your exams.
