I now have two models. One which will fit the slightly larger bobbin pin on older vintage Singer, Kenmore, White and other USA made machines. Also, the original which will fit bobbin pins on foreign made models, like Janome, Pfaff and other more modern foreign made models. See the description above for details.

Awesome!!! Mine was just delivered today, and it's great!!! I had my doubts for a minute, because I bought wooden spools from the craft store. I was afraid they weren't going to fit right. They sat high up on the metal bobbin winding adapter. I guided the thread, and took it slowly after watching your YouTube video again. After a a minute or two, I had it working great. My modern Janome machine can run without its foot pedal, but I found I had better speed control by using the pedal lightly. Thanks for making this little adapter!! It really is a fantastic, money saving tool!!!🥰🧵

Okay..I was sceptical..and I also wondered if it would fit My Brother, However if you are a sewer and spend tons of time iwth your machine this is a must have.
Amazing! just no other way to describe this feat of enginering...Thank you, thank you!!!

You are a very creative fellow. I totally love the idea of reusing the spools, let alone the money savings. Nicely done and thanks for sharing.

Pretty slick. Great minds think alike. I made one out of aluminum. Instead of spring retainers, I use a threaded rod and a threaded cap to clamp the thread spool onto the tool. The cap has a lip that slides into the spool to keep it centered. You're looks much more economical to make.

I bought one and it works perfectly. It makes winding spools so much easier. It works on all standard spools. It does not work on smaller gutterman spools as they are too narrow to fit over the pin. I would be interested in buying a narrower one that would work with these spools,

I realize this video was made a couple of years ago. But it is just what I am looking for. I will just have to find out which neighbor has a sewing machine. Are these still avaiable and will you send to New Zealand???

My singer heavy-duty 4452 has a 6mm bobbin pin and I just ordered your 6mm one on Etsy since one of your past purchasers commented that she used it on her Singer and it worked. I'm assuming your singer adapter is for the older singers?

Could this be used just to hold the cone thread instead of putting it in a mug or stand external from sewing machine?

I would like to have one for my older kenmore. Are you still making them?

It's an awesome invention. I really wanted it but the shipping to Canada is more expensive than the product itself :(
