Been a Neil Diamond fan for over 50 years, practically grew up with him and his music. Knew all those songs mentioned and knew he wrote them. Still listen to his music all the time. There will never be another singer/songwriter like him.

That's Awesome, I did not know this.

It's kind of like the Bee Gees who wrote many hit songs for other performers.

In fact they had 3 of the top 5 songs at the same time by 3 different artists.

Neil wrote, 'Sunflower' a hit for Glen Campbell and probably one of the most obscure Neil Diamond compositions is 'I Seek The Night.' Sondra Locke sang it in ' Every Which Way But Loose ' starring Clint Eastwood.

Basically, I'm a believer' and 'Thank the Lord for the night time' are shamefully alike. He ripped off his own song. Both came out about the same time. This surprised me since he wrote so many other amazing songs.
