JavaScript Deep Dive (Part 1 of 2) w/ Austin Cummins

Austin Cummins, a software developer at Gravitate Solutions (formerly called Old Town IT), is presenting on a technology many of us use in our web/Windows 8 applications frequently but may not know as much about how it actually works: JavaScript.

The goal of this presentation is to do a deep dive into the language and guide you through some of the tougher concepts that are often misunderstood, if understood at all- the ‘gotchas’ of the language, functional programming capabilities, objects and prototypes, and what is coming in the new ES6 specification. There will be live-coding and examples in the presentation, and I hope to leave time at the end for Q&A or interactive discussions. Beginners are still welcome!
