Hundreds Form Human Chain Around UK Parliament Protesting Against Julian Assange Extradition

Around a thousand people form a human chain around the UK parliament in London, demanding the release of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. The chain formed outside the front of the Houses of Parliament, spans the River Thames over Westminster Bridge before winding itself along the river opposite the historic building.

Were you all told to report ''hundreds''? I was there and there were THOUSANDS of people, probably 5K, in a massive queue that extended over 4 sides, of which 2 were main bridges on the Thames. I walked the whole thing before taking my place and I can assure it was no hundreds as it is being reported. IT WAS THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE.

In Julian's case, I see no political will from the Australian government to free one of their most loved citizens. It was worked out that it would take 5, 000 people with arms outstretched to form a human chain around Parliament and over the bridge. the chain was completed with people rubbing shoulders in places. That's 6, 000 minimum. Plus the human chain around DoJ Washington.
