Franken-planning, or combining different planning inserts together, can sometimes get a little tricky as you transition from month to month. I've been thinking about the writer's insert, and here are some ideas of what I think should be included. A place to list daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. A place to track how much writing was done each day, not just a box to color in or check, but a place to note how much time was spent writing, how many words were written, noting what project the writing was in. Sheets for brainstorming. A place to list submissions to publications, literary agents, small publishing houses--which would include the date, the name, the contact info, and what specifically are that person or companys requirements to submit, because they are all different and also their responses. A place to list goals in regards to trying to publish your work. A place for ideas about future writing projects. Deadlines for contests. A place to note info about editing, especially words to weed out of your writing and things to not do. A list of possible beta readers and what their feedback is. I'm sure there are more things I haven't thought of. This would be a general writer's insert. Another writer's insert that would be cool would be an insert geared to one book---it would have plot points, character lists, settings, motivations, and a lot more. Another cool writer's insert would be specifically geared to someone who is self publishing a book. There are so many steps to that. I haven't done that, so I can't go into detail, but that would be great to have too. So, those are some ideas for writer's inserts. I don't know if you would want to pursue something like that, but i think it would be incredible!!
