Greek Gyros Street Food In York

We visit York and check out the street food scene. We decide to try the Greek Gyros, pronounced (Geeros) wrap and the boxed version from a street food van in the market place in the centre of York. Let's see what we think of it.

I was born in York and there certainly wasn't anything like that there when I lived there. It looked delicious. I couldn't get over the prices. £9.00 and £12.00. Rich and I visit the Greek festivals given by the Orthodox churches each August on the Island in New York where we live. I love all kinds of Mediterranean foods. Excellent
Rich bought me a Ninja smoker/ Air fryer for out doors this week
I made a 4 LB Pork butt ( part of the shoulder ) seasoned with a Cuban recipe. We smoked it for approximately 5 hours.
And with the amazing delicious fall of the bone meat we made Authentic Cuban Sandwiches.
I am not a fan of heavy flavored smoked food but the Ninja gives you the option of smoke or double smoke.
So it pleases all.

The Street Food looked fantastic, you will have to come up with a Butlers Empire version. You are great to watch, full of the joys of life, it is quite infectious. Your interactions with people is very friendly, natural and very polite, you both have such a fabulous relationship, with each other and with everyone else. Stay well and happy.

Both looked delicious.
I get a large mixed chicken and lamb shish kebab plus fries for less than a tenner.
I wouldn't want to be paying more than a tenner either Martin.
I went to York once but only drove through it. Didn't have time to stop and have a look around.
From what I saw and remember, it was a fantastic city. I would love to go back there.

Hooe you enjoyed York, we were there 2 weeks ago, seeing the Van Gogh exposition. We saw the vans but they were not open.
