A lot of these places uses high prices as a marketing tactic. They already know people are shallow, they want to brag about shopping a the most expensive places and getting a taste of luxury. You can probably buy all the organic ingredients and make all of this at home for cheaper and way better tasting.

I swear Erewhon is an excellent social experiment in demonstrating that wealthy narcissists will always pay exorbitant prices for products that are mediocre just so they can go on endlessly about how they can afford the products at a given store …. It’s truly laughable

It seems to me that the whole point of a place like that is to give economic status to those who can afford to shop there…, a social marker like certain bags, shoes, cars etc….
Is the food locally sourced and pays a fair( higher than the market rate) wage to those who produce the vegetables and fruits and other goods??
Are the staff who work there treated really well???
Does the shop contribute to the over all social well being in it’s environment ??
If high prices mean a lot of well being…. Then kool.

Erewhon is overrated and overpriced but it’s probably better value than Disney food prices now. No tips required. Watched YouTubers checking out the theme park restaurant food and it seemed very overpriced and meh to mid quality.

It’s not even about the hot bar people it’s about the produce and great things you can’t get anywhere else!
Raw milk, kefir, blue majik, ceremonial grade matcha, produce that last you weeks, regenerative grown meat from actual farms!
