Motivating and setting objectives to drive performance

In this video we discuss the idea of performance. and we show that it's quite difficult to define and to evaluate two people in the same job for their performance. We illustrate a comprehensive model illustrating the things upon which performance depends.

We then go on to discuss the importance of job descriptions in telling what someone should do in a firm and on the importance of objectives in motivating employees to do what the manager wants them to. We close with a discussion about performance appraisal.
