I tried this and for 1 cup of flour I had to add 3 cups of water and it still was thick as a pancake batter; also, the batter did not stick to the fish very easily, I had to dip it in there a few times to coat it. But, the results were very delicious. I'm guessing I need to pat the fish dry first??

I would have put a light coating of flour on the fish before dipping it in the batter.

How do I get batter to be stodgy and greasy mine always turns out dry and crispy, I resorted to buying catering batter mix that the chippies use but it still wasnt greasy the way I want it.
