Amazing that he doesn't believe we have an individual say on this Bill, instead pushing the narrative that he perceives how it should go.

Let's see how many seats national and nz first get in parliament at the next election, I will never be giving eather of my votes to the totally ineffectual national party again and I cant bring myself to vote nz first as they are all month and no trousers

This guy is a racist liar. He works for Maori, not for all New Zealanders.
Remove him from parliament permanently, just like the Maori, greens party, and most of labour.
Parliament needs a full-on clean out

I had great hopes for Tama when he gave his first speech in parliament. It was a great speech. Now see it was all bollocks.

Our politicians have become unbelievably unprofessional in the things they say, how they dress, and in the behaviors they display, in the debating chamber, and in the way they conduct themselves both publicly and privately. Show some standards as our elected leaders, for goodness sake.

National doesn't stand for anything especially equal rights for all 😔

There is no way New Zealanders are voting against equal rights and a single NZ government in a referendum. 100% in line with the original intent and understanding of all who signed the treaty.

If he's so confident about the public support against the Bill, what's his issue with asking the whole country then??? 😉

He should be looking at the polling and not take much stock in the submissions.

How did David Seymour trick you into thinking that the Treaty of Waitangi has anything to do with equality and democracy? I guess he's only fooled fools though... The treaty was an agreement between nations that allowed the British Crown to have law making power over British subjects here in N.Z. and guaranteed Maori Rangatira the same power over their people. There was no democracy in Britain when the treaty was signed; less than 20% of men could vote and no women. British society was/is a very heiorachical caste system.

Can anyone tell me why the principles in this bill don’t reflect what the treaty says at all?

Also, if Seymour admits that he doesn’t know what the treaty means then why would someone with even half a brain listen to what he says? That’d be like getting in a car with someone that can’t drive, seems a little delusional
