Oh the irony about that statement about how Japanese devs are versus Western devs. I backed Bloodstained Ritual of the Night and just 2 days ago their official Youtube page uploaded a video with the director sitting beside the creator IGA himself saying sorry for the delay in some of the content, a multiplayer mode, that should be out by now due to technical issues and Covid backing things up. They showed that and then showed some paid DLC costumes and an entire new game mode that's pretty much it's own thing. What did people get from Todd? "Just upgrade your PC"....yeah that's a different beast when it comes to how they react to issues and concerns.

I survived in game 5 minutes and i yeeted myself. First conversation is so bad that I was rolling my eyes. Then when You got given laser drill which can drill though rock - I tried to use it on NPCs, and nothing happened… Some of them were completely immune, others just tanked DMG so hard they just asked me to stop it.... and those faces at the start even… so ugly...

Todd Howard has been so full of shit for so long, I don't think he knows how to be honest anymore.
The game is not optimized at all, PC or no. There's no excuse for such low resolution textures and low definition models rendering so poorly when there are games made 10 years ago that look FAR better than Starfield!

before the game is out, marketing profits from 4k. Even if you show gameplay, no cgi trailer blah, if your game looks stunning with Studio PCs, raytraycing, 4k yadah, People STILL think thats what it would look like on MY PC.
Marketing uses this like a weapon. If you bought the game, refund period runs out, who cares if your game stutters and crashes? they alöready have your money. Thats what counts. thats why everything have to be 4k.
Good grafiks in Promo material increases sales, its fact.

Its about getting that Money out of your Pocket, not to get you a good product.
And this will ONLY change if you punish the wallets of the company. As long as it works, it will stay and become worse.

Just wait for 3-6 months for them to fix it, then use mods to replace all the textures with 1080p strip out all the 4k textures (leave some of course )

And obviously a BUG fix mod

And we will have to use mod character editors aswell because Bethesda make all the women in the game look like men...

The meme photos did deliver their intended message, but one change could've made an even stronger impact, IMO. Simply use images of female characters from vanilla Skyrim...
... on an XBOX 360. Then the argument wouldn't be so much about graphic fidelity as how Beth has INTENTIONALLY made female character models UGLIER, regardless of pixel count or frame rate. I, for one, would prefer female characters look more like Ysolda and less like a hagraven.

What got me was all the context allies would poor on you without letting you figure it out for yourself.

Bethesda games used to require you to keep your attention to detail high. You could find a 2 and then find another 2 to figure out that it's a 4. And when you figure that out your mind is blown.

Starfield just tells you about the 4 and doesn't bother showing you either of the 2s, let alone let you find them.
