A - why would I embarrass myself like that? and B - here's an update - the stitching glows on the pairs with production date 07/31/24 - 10/24/24. There are two production dates - the other production date doesn't glow. People - don't fixate on ONE difference, there's too many others and you need to put them all together. It's why I show all the differences and not just one.

I think that's a good thing that factories leave flaws like the lasting board or black light non reflective threads so people can't be easily scammed but they will have to do their homeworks in order to avoid this. That's why your reviews are so important.
I tried to get the retails but Nike said 'no Brick for you' (in reference to Seinfeld Soup Nazi episode). So, like I usually do, I say hello to my chinese friends 😁

You can be surprised, if you compare different retail pairs - they are made by hand and can have differences in shape, sewing and materials - if materials used are from different production batches. Also, after several wears and cleaning there will be no differences

The GX version is as close to the original as you’re going to get. No one is going to get close enough to your sneakers to examine them or do side by side comparisons.

I will say that on the sock liner, the retail is more squared while the rep is shaped like a V

I noticed when you compared the front of tongue, the stitching across the top of the jumpman patch is different. On the retail pair, the white colored, stacked dots are crispier and easily seen when compared to the rep. One other difference I spotted, when u compare the inside tongue, the stitching on that rectangle patch, the rep has white text and the text is a slight sail, creamy, color on retail pair. Thanks for your efforts and time Snide for this educational video.

As far as the color being slightly different, even retail pairs slightly differ in color from what I’ve seen

Your review is super detailed. Thanks. I wanted the Jordan 5 Black Metallic, but didn't have a chance to get it at retail. I've now received a good batch from China. (Although I personally don't trust batches.) For me, there are only good and bad reps.

I purchased mine through goat at first but the order got cancelled repurchased again got cancelled a second time. I went to stock x just purchased them and I don’t know the feel good and look good but at this point every shoe is replicated.

Not sure if someone mentioned it but the inside of the back cushion on the rep has a crease and the originals are smooth rounded

The fact is if you don't get picked to purchase the real thing, then you have no choice if you "refuse to pay the resale" prices people will go for fakes.

The only pair of sneakers I ever got lucky to get retail happens to be the ones you're doing the comparison on right now, Brick by Brick.

All these bots and back dooring it's hard for people who like a shoe to get. Especially when they just want to wear them and not resale.

The only issue about the black light test is I have a retail pair and the stitching doesn’t turn white. So there may be some inconsistency with that part.
