so helpful!! how come in the example with the frictional force 12n why dont you resolve the frictional force and just insert 12

I'd be saying if the angle goes to zero what happens to the forces and getting sin/cos that way. Imagining the angle is zero is a way to check you've got the right result.

why not just take arctan(1/sqrt/3) giving you 30deg
