I'm glad they handled it in a healthy way cause they didn't deserve all the people saying "Nickelback sucks" when even that song was a good song. It's about nostalgia.

It always chapped my ass that they had so many haters. Nickelback has one good/great song after the next. One of my all time favorite bands. To this day they have their own playlist that I listen to frequently. Thank you NB for all of the memories you helped create with your music!

man they were hated so much the entire 2010's for no reason, good thing people are starting to see them in a better light cause even if their music is a bit generic they're still undoubtedly a good rock band that won a shit ton of prizes and made an insane amount of hit songs

Nickelback was the last major rock band of the 20th century. The last one to hit it big before the digital explosion of the mid-late 2000s. The song "Photograph" meant something when it was released. Until Facebook blew up people lost touch with each other. You'd often wonder what happened to your old friends; whether they became successful; started a family; even what they presently looked like...and you'd never know unless you bumped into them at random or went to your high school reunion and hoped they show up. When you'd stumble across some old photos and saw your old friends all that wonder would run through your mind, you'd get a longing feeling in the pit of your stomach, and it would really start to eat at you wondering if you'd ever see them again and learn what became of them. Then Facebook came along, and even the Boomers all found their long lost friends. So that pre digital age sense of wonder about your old friends completely vanished. This was the last major song ever written about that feeling.
