Wonderful to read the comments on the music, both pro and con. Gerald Fried also composed the score for a number of Wagon Train episodes (and also, but non-Western, Stanley Kubrick's early films, and many other TV shows and movies).

Thank You Bob for posting these great old T V Shows. These shows wont fix the condition America is in right now, But for those of us who remember how things were before it certainly helps ease the pain and adds hope that things will get back to normal.

Slade must have the least effective shotgun rounds known to man. Love the show, though! Many thanks, Bob!

I love the opening for this show. Watching this ep. reminds me of also watching eps. of The Deputy--same jazzy music and narraration. Coincidentally both show are made by Revue Studios too.

Sue Ann Langdon is great in The Guide For The Married Man, she rocks in this shotgun slade episode too

Good show 8-)
Interesting format, with the music and narration more akin to an old spy thriller rather than a western. Reminded me of the Route 66 theme.
Enjoyed it. Thanks for uploading.

Nothing like riding into town and asking directions, with your shotgun pointed at the citizenry! We sixties kids learned gun safety from these shows.

It would be cooler if you actually used a photo of Shotgun Slade when you introduce the show "starring Scott Brady"

Some of these are closed captioned and some are not??! Why can't they ALL be closed captioned?

These old westerns always had a problem with shotguns. They loved to show them but always resorted to bullets being fired instead of the sound and damage a shotgun causes.

I find the 1950's Chicago Jazz distracting.
