Have you tried flame polishing acrylic for perfect clean edges? (doesn't work on poly-carbonate, just acrylic) Use a standard plumbing torch and quickly brush the flame on the sides until they become crystal clear.

Question: Why don't you use the top of the calipers? you just draw a line from the corner, and for the center just set the calipers to.172" and draw a line from the topside and the downside of the material and you got your point.

I am curious to know why anyone would purchase the 'mill it yourself' version when you only get the nc files and not the actual design files. What possible advantage is there in purchasing the MIYS version when the amount of time you put in to it far exceeds the money you save in choosing this option?
