Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi claims driver pay is up about 30% over the past 5 years, as he said on a recent episode of "This Week In Startups." However, our own data shows driver pay is down ~10-15% over the past two years. ⁠

They also steal money from drivers when they lose money on the total cost of the ride.

Driver accepts upfront fare: $15
Driver completes the ride
Uber adjusts price BACK to $7 after the ride is over!

Bro, this Uber manager is lying 😠. I used to make about $600 in 2017 only in 2 or 3 days in Atlanta. Now in 2024, I can't even make that in 5 days 10 hrs a Day.

The Uber CEO is an absolute criminal. The drivers have actually taken a 30% pay cut. They over hired on drivers which means there’s less business and our actual pay provide has seriously decreased.

Hardly any of us US drivers feel like this is the truth. If Uber really cares about its drivers then they should figure out how these two things can simultaneously be true. This guy is being fed nonsense internally by an army of accountants and communication experts massaging the data (I.e., time periods, COVID effects, regulated vs unregulated markets, etc) to cover up the reality. My reality: I’m turning my car into dust and can’t pay my bills.

He is a liar, been driving 7 years pay has declined every year for the past 5! I am a diamond driver with over 10, 000 trips 4.98 rating. I will be joining the 2/14/24 boycott of rideshare to stand in solidarity with fellow drivers to speak out on this very subject and to alert all to how unsafe the drivers are too! Riders are not vetted, we are at risk all the time!
