I like how most casuals think defense is just guarding someone, when there is so much more like taking charges, stealing the ball, getting a defensive rebound, deflecting the ball, getting possession of a loose ball and probably more I haven’t said, then they go on to say defensive rating is overrated when there is a stat that shows defensive field goals attempts, makes and percentage,
on the nba site. It’s just so brain dead to say jokic is a horrible defender bcuz you’re only accounting for and overvaluing on ball defense, there is more to the equation then just staying in front of someone.

The idea that Nikola Jokic isnt the MVP because Embidd averages more PPG than him, or Giannis should get it because he is a former dpoy and finals MVP is ludicrous when the MVP is a regular season Award and Jokic is beating both Embidd and Giannis in 10 other stats if u include analytics and he has the #1 seed with zero all stars on the team
