Just tried my dry pad for the first time and it does not seem to pick up any dirt. The dirt does not cling to the pad and instead just gets pushed around the floor. What am I doing wrong?

This piece of rubbish is NOT a mop. It's just a pad on the end of a stick. HOW in the name of nobody knows are you supposed to wet it and wring it dry? There is no accompanying bucket to go with this mop. I miss the Vileda Premium 5. The king is dead. Long live the king.
