I'd say it's Ryan the one holding back on Buddie, maybe for similar reasons as why Eddie holds back on it. He talks like he's walking on eggshells about the character and the relationship

Oliver's near-eyeroll blink at the end when he heard Ryan running in circles about their characters being "brothers" 😂😂😂 Ryan seems skittish around this subject and I think it's because he is not very good with accidentally saying something spoiler-ish. Oliver is more tight lipped.

You know… if they acted like this on the show, I don’t think Buddie would ever have become a thing. Neither of them act straight on the show!

They aren't that open and honest with each other, though.

The show doesn't have them say "I love 💗 you" to each other in the context of friendship, at least.

They aren't officially best friends 🤝.

Which both of them seem to hate, as it means they keep on needing to make up tenuous excuses to see each other, like babysitting the Christopher (multiple episodes revolve around Christopher being surprisingly competent and independent).
