Bard has been around a while now, I dont remember him being so strong ever before. He absolutely does not need to be "gutted" he needs a damage nerf to allign him with the tank role, or a tank nerf to make make him killable.

Overloaded is not the right word, I don't think. In Bard's case, I am pretty sure the issues can be solved by adjusting the numbers.

bard is not overloaded. he is overtuned. bard is probably one of the most well designed champs in the game.

His dmg is absurd. Thats the big problem I would say. It just makes his ganks so strong because he brings almost as much damage as the laner themselves, along with a stun and slow

I remember on Bard release I enjoyed building him tank (which ppl saw as troll back in the day) it was actually good and I found bard fun to play tanky
but when season changed items he was no longer viable as tank, actually trash to play as when the item changes happened.
and now ppl find building him tank is op
That just feels more like it's the items that enable Bard to play this way, rather than him being overloaded.

I've played Bard a few times recently, and while he is really strong as a tank right now, I don't think he needs to be gutted. Less tankiness and a 2 second increase on his Q CD will make his roams less safe, but we don't need him back to where he was terrible and filled no role

Imo it's a symptom of tank items being busted rn. I'm ok with Bard's utility and damage at the moment, but it used to be he would still blow up pretty fast if you could get your hands on him, even if he built full tank. Now he builds full tank and might as well be a farmed top laner. I've never felt so useless in my life as when I played againt a Kaenic rush Bard as Vel support.

Also you can't chase him because if you take the portal you will get insta stunned or at the very least be slowed to the point that he can stall you until his E refreshes or his team arrives to back him up, I swear I've never tilted more than games where a person that knows the ins and outs of bard is present

Bard was always a hidden gem pick imo, he didn't receive that many buffs from the item system rework and the map is kinda irrelevante since he can ignore walls, people just sleeped on him because of his ult being either a very useful tool in the right hands or the most troll ability in the game in the wrong hands

He's a support that doesn't care much about losing the supp item AP, frozen heart is so nice for him and his mid roams didn't change much in contrast with other supports whose got worse.
His E also got stronger in objective dances, the big wall in front of dragon pit is so good to E through in general

Bard is my highest points champ back from when i would throw down with Thresh and Bard every single game in Season 9. He is SO good but has SUCH a high skill ceiling and isn't too difficult to dismantle early on in my low elo.
