HOW TO SLOPE SOAR - Part 1 understanding slopes

First go at a bit of an instructional vid. Big caveat - I am by no means an expert, just sharing from my own experience stuff that I've found helpful when exploring and trying new slopes.

Feedback and requests welcome (dangerous thing to say!) 😀

Great! I think vintage type floaty planes on gentle inland slopes are a magic thing. Using the wings as whole ailerons or flapperons, with a carbon bar (possibly v near CG) about 1/3 back along the wing chord as the rotational axis. Small servos (independent channels) mounted either side of the cabin with short push rods raise & lower the L.E. I have seen the Kiel Kraft gliders done in this way, and gentle slopes give scope for scratch builds on a light construction scale. If something performs well, then you can beef it up and take your own design to a more adventurous, steeper slope..
Nice one! ⭐👍

Thanks mate, well done with the diagrams and explanations. Glad the algorithm brought this channel to my attention, I have subscribed!

I'm new to the game so I'm on a slope finding mission 😊

Great examples. Love the drawing on the photos to show lift angle and the rotors on sharp edged cliffs. This video will be very helpful for new slope pilots to get a visual understanding!! Thanks!!

Great Video, helpful the Algorithm picked this for me! Planning to do a super light RC conversion, we‘ll see if i will be able to slope soar on very light winds 🤩

Hi there can you add the wind speed that you fly each slope eg 10kmh 30 degrees volantex 16s, 5 kmh 10 degrees

You don't mention anything about thermals coming off the rocks Water vapour lift and turbulence that can come of the waves/swell
