Xvive U4 Wireless In Ear Monitor System (demo/review)

The Xvive U4 Wireless in-ear kit is a fantastic choice for musicians on a budget looking to step up their game live. Since working on ships, I've come to really love using wireless IEM kits. Unfortunately, wireless IEM kits are notoriously expensive (think $500 or $800+) and at that price point are a bit unobtainable for the average, everyday musician gigging at the local level. If you're looking to outfit your entire 4-piece band with IEMs, the Xvive U4 is an incredible value that'll get you there for under $1,000.

Xvive reached out to have me review their product. Although the product was provided, this video represents my honest opinion and experience testing the unit. I've shared both praise and criticism. There was no monetary exchange in order for a positive review.

Best demo I've seen of this. Exactly what I wanted - commentary about latency and an actual 'putting music through the thing' test. Can;t believe you haven't had more views but hopefully it will build. I'd have liked to hear a track with drums to get a sense of the transient response but I'm guessing YouTube would kick the crap out of the audio anyway!

Thanks again.

If they would have a stereo option, this would be awesome. Thanks for your transparency regarding your relation to the company. That's something the "big" ones don't do and it sucks

The charging tray would be a nice add-on I think. I'm hoping that life returns to normal soon. Would be great to outfit my entire band with these for silent rehearsals. We have an electronic kit.

Really nicely put together. Was that your song you used in the middle?

You said xvive has a stereo option, what exactly does that entail? Do you just set two transmitters to the same channel?

Could you please give me the link for the Stereo options from Xvive? Thank you!

Hi can I also use this with my earphones outside while singing instead of bringing speakers?

I play a few gigs a year. They are old school and still run floor monitors at churches. Can I piggy back from a floor monitor in to this device so I have my own monitor feed through this?

Hi thanks for the explanation, can you please clarify, the mono when listening, is it mono both sides, or listening to your mix or instrument in one side?

How do you use these in a real world situation. They glitch on every channel. If a router is near by they glitch. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I don't think so.

I’m super curious what the solution you spoke on as to how to run this stereo. What is the solution?

You wouldn't be able to have seperate mixes with one transmitter and multiple receivers would you?

An answer I can't seem to find anywhere is what earphones do you need?

Great rundown. I was actually looking for something like this for my Helix. Have you tried plugging it directly into your HX Stomp yet?
