Interstate 278 (I-278) is an auxiliary Interstate Highway in New Jersey and New York in the United States. The road runs 35.62 miles (57.32 km) from US Route 1/9 (US 1/9) in Linden, New Jersey, northeast to the Bruckner Interchange in the New York City borough of the Bronx. The majority of I-278 is in New York City, where it serves as a partial beltway and passes through all five of the city's boroughs. I-278 follows several freeways, including the Union Freeway in Union County, New Jersey; the Staten Island Expressway (SIE) across Staten Island; the Gowanus Expressway in southern Brooklyn; the Brooklyn–Queens Expressway (BQE) across northern Brooklyn and Queens; a small part of the Grand Central Parkway in Queens; and a part of the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx. I-278 also crosses multiple bridges, including the Goethals, Verrazzano-Narrows, Kosciuszko, and Robert F. Kennedy bridges.

Been out of new york almost 10 years now but I finally looks like they are done with the construction on BQE 😄 I'm almost 40 and remember as a kid my father would be on bqe and it was under construction up until I left the state watching this gives good nostalgia

The BQE through Brooklyn is my second favorite drive on an expressway/parkway in New York. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to share the experience.

The thing sucks with the BQE is how all those repairs need to be done. Just years of neglect, road salt, and water corroded the rebar and steel. Now they got to replace all that.

Oh god, why are you doing this to me? I take this highway several times a week, entering from Hamilton Ave just like you did. That lane removal on the Brooklyn promenade triple-cantilever bridge enrages me so much.

Nice that you got to check out the new (as of 3-4 years ago) Kosciusko Bridge. So much better than the old one, especially at night with the new light treatment it has.

Dunno if you’re still in New York, but you’ve got to do Palisades Interstate Parkway, Merritt Parkway and Belt Parkway before you leave. The first two are really scenic, beautiful drives. The last one is … not so good. 😁

Many of us driver better enjoy this because veiw because the Adam's administration bunch of ass kissers instead of making it state of t he art the want to do their pointless thinking and destroy things and wonder why traffic is so bad or coming town their block well I say oh well this is want you wanted so deal with it. Maybe the pedestrians need to be more focused and not on their phones whole walking or crossing streets that are safe it's just the ones who don't pay attention get hit by a car and cry its not their fault I see all the time reckless bike riders and distracted pedestrians start giving them tickets amd leave drivers alone. Someone take a stand to this file lawsuits do something vote out the Adam's administration. Crime and mental health is more important focus on that.
