Complete misinformation here. Ethereum currently uses proof of work and "intends" to shift to proof of stake. And by the way, ethereum cannot scale that is why they are "trying" to come up with Eth 2.0.

If Bitcoin is this new currency to replace fiat, why hasn't it made more progress in that direction, there's no sign of it getting used for that. Because it's not used as a currency, the price must be due to another cause.
It's price is purely due to the speculation happening, it's just a pyramid scheme at this point. The price caused by more buying than selling, and when people stop buying it so greedily, it will crash to 0. Because there's no intrinsic value that will protect it from crashing to zero, it's not linked in value to some material goods, you can't buy groceries with it, it's only value today is in fiat currency you can exchange for it.

Bitcoin has tumbled 45% within one month!!! Very highly speculative and extremely volatile !!! I've been all in GOLD FUND for a couple of months!! Too many conditions just favoring gold prices recently.... such as ultra-low interest rates, real yields get more negative due to the increasing hyperinflation, the unlimited QE's since the last Mar. 2020, new waves of Covid pandemic in Asia, all commodities' prices soaring, and the crypto prices tumbled recently due to trading bans by many central banks, all forming the perfect storms for the skyrocketing gold prices !!!

It's far too easy for investors to lose perspective. whenever something big goes wrong, a lot of people panic and hold on to money that should be working for them. Looking at history, the markets recovered from corona virus, 2008 crisis, the dotcom crash, even the Great Depression. Folks will analyze and be jury over the market which will always remain a cash den for people who know where to look.
