Hmm... I guess, everybody has a right to have its own favourite style. I personally don't like short messages conversations. They feel meaningless and too shallow to me, you don't really see the personality behind that.
At the same time I don't have patience to stay online waiting for short answer or for a next question, even, if it's happening in real time. I'd rather prefer to receive a longer message and take my time to answer to that thoughtfully. Everything is only about playfulness and speed nowdays. Deep relationships are more than that, aren't they?
And how about those times when lovers would send letters with poems to each other? Wasn't that beautiful? Aren't we missing on something really important?

Yes. No dissertations. No one wants to read through all that. Short, with waiting for answers or one to two question kinds. Minimal amounts.
