Why Steve is a Controversial Character in Super Smash Bros.

Here's the truth about Steve. Although I must say, a Minecraft character actually being in Smash is really cool, he just feels a little overtuned in some areas.

I think the best way to summarize Steve is he feels like a Rivals of Aether character put into Smash Ultimate with no regard for the difference in general power level in the cast. Like Steve ultimately plays like slightly different Kragg but in a game where the cast on average isn't really equipped to deal with that type of concept.

I am shocked you didn’t mention Steve possibly having one of if not the best combo game out of every character. He gets ridiculous damage off of grabs, jabs, down tilt and up tilt, up airs, minecart, you name it. Also Steve smash attacks are dumb, especially down smash and up smash

If steve was his actual height I think it would be a decent nerf, he's supposed to be almost 6ft 3in (just under two of his own blocks, being 1 meter each). I think steve right now is somewhere above only 4ft

it just boils down to too many options that offer too much reward for very little risk and can output way too much pressure while having no real glaring weakness, honestly the competitive side of the game would be better without him, just like smash 4 without bayo. there are still 99 more characters to choose from.

I'm primarily a Melee PM Smash 64 player so you dropping videos on Ultimate is truly enlightening to me lol. I always heard Steve was toxic... But this is like next level garbage LOL it's like Sakurai didn't even attempt to balance the DLC
