Fertility Next Steps + I Bought A NEW HOUSE + CLEVVER UPDATE

There's so much going on! Fertility, Buying A NEW HOUSE plus what's happening with Clevver.

I also forgot to mention that I am taking a wood working class, y'all! And I'm pretty sure I missed a lot of other things that I was too flabbergasted to mention. I feel like the last six months have flown by. Investing in real estate and buying this house in the desert (Yucca Valley) has been such an out of body experience. One day we were chatting about the possibility, and then the next thing I knew I was signing a stack of papers with my new address on it. I am crazy grateful for the opportunity and I can't wait to bring you along on our home renovation journey. I am going to try and DIY a ton of amazing projects like a $300 kitchen makeover, building an at home office out of a closet, and learning how to thrift flip furniture on a budget so that we lower our renovation costs.

Also, I am going to put together several home buying guides and checklists for some of you who are curious about the process of buying a new home. Keep an eye out for some of the Tesla reviews, because driving this thing is bonkers and I have a running list of "things I wish I knew before buying a Tesla" that I can't wait to share.Subscribe for more fertility updates.

Your comment on adoption is so spot on. We are planning on being one and done with the baby we have right now due to medical issues on my end, and also personal reasons as to why we only want one child (it fits our travel lifestyle better). So many people have said we should adopt if we don’t want to get pregnant again. That’s not the point and I think you made that clear with your comment on adoption. Nice to know there’s people that get it!

I am an adopted only child and an adult now. And I've never stopped getting rude and inconsiderate and hurtful questions. Adoption is a great thing for all people involved but it's also trauma for all people involved by it's very nature. For viewers, please try and understand that from an outside perspective and give grace to everyone involved and give grace to those who may or may not be considering adoption as well. It's expensive, traumatic, complicated, and a very complex and personal journey that isn't a simple fix for fertility issues. Erin I stand behind your choices and your privacy no matter what you choose!!

Thank you for sharing that last bit about how how life is hard but the good can be extra good. I'm going through fertility issues, as well, and combined with depression and what has been happening in the world, I needed the reminder that this will end and it will be good again. I'm determined to make 2022 a great year in whatever ways I can.

We did IVF in November and found out I’m a poor responder to the meds so we didn’t get as many eggs or embryos as we expected for my age and diagnosis (30, unexplained). I think expectation management is a must and to go in with the mindset that the first cycle is typically your worst because they don’t have prior info on how you will respond. We had a failed fresh transfer and are currently doing more testing before transferring our only euploid embryo this spring. Best of luck 💜

I appreciate you talking about fertility struggles. I’ve been dealing with infertility for years and finally did IVF at the end of last year, still without any success. Egg retrieval was not fun but not as bad as I had heard from others. The most challenging thing for me was not the stim shots, or the retrieval, or even physically recovering from retrieval. It was the mental toll of the whole process, especially waiting for phone calls from the doctors office about numbers of eggs that were mature, how many fertilized, and how many embryos made it to blast stage. Even though I was told numbers would keep falling, it’s very disheartening. You are strong! Crossing my fingers for you.
