before the song ends he’s wrapped in the fabric, and i imagine the more the song continues the more fabric that forms around the players view.

After rewatching the video many times, i think i've found the solution to surviving the Fabric Dimension.

If you pay attention, you'll notice that when Bandu started to worry (and therefore built up stress) while he was looking around, as soon as the dimension noticed that stress, the fabric began to try to get a hold of him. And as this was happening, you'll notice that Bandu became more stressed and scared as the fabric and strings were grabbing onto him. What Bandu did wrong was panic (although it's understandable that he did) and struggled to try to free himself from the fabric. My idea is that possibly if Bandu had calmed down and stopped trying to free himself, the fabric may have stopped trying to latch onto him, as it sensed no stress. My reason why this could be a possibility is that perhaps the entity that lives within the fabric dimension may rely on the pace of which a heart beats to identify if the target is a suitable host. So perhaps if Bandu had tried this solution, if it were to work Bandu could do his best to remain calm and figure out another way to free himself. This, of course, most likely would not work if the fabric was already engaging the assimilation stage (AKA the stage where fabric was shoved down Bandu's throat). However i think that Bandu actually would have had high chances of survival had he used this method, considering he had another person right next to him (i'm talking about Boyfriend), and considering the fact, if Boyfriend happened to have any tool that could possibly cut fabric and string, they both could have survived.

In conclusion?
Remain calm, do not move in case of fabric attack, help other survivors with any tools reachable.
