Thank you for bringing up our history so that we may know how not to repeat the mistakes of the past.

Nyesom Wike is the modern-day Festus Okotie-Eboh. Very loud and utterly outlandish.

The arrest by Ifeajuna was traumatic. It is easy to accuse anyone looking at any other version of the man's death. But then, did Segun Osoba lie about the condition of the body he saw? I personally interviewed Mbu when this controversy broke out in 2010. Mbu told me he spoke based on what Christopher Okigbo told him. Every knowledgeable Nigerian knows Okigbo and Ifeajuna were great friends, and Okigbo had free association with many of the January coup plotters. Sad Ifeajuna's book about the coup never saw light of day; it may unravel many things. I truly wish the coup never took place. May the golden voice continue to rest in peace.

That was Nigeria's golden era, with the 3 giants Nnamdi Azikiwe, Tafawa Balewa and Obafemi Awolawo. Only God knows how far we could've reachas a country if that government was allowed to continue

No wonder Nigeria is suffering. One minister actually said this man passed from asthma? So, what happened to the other victim found with him?

@03:47 There was nothing like the three dominant regions. There were three regions. Simple. In 1963 Midwestern region was created out of Western region, again making it four regions.

These first leaders were the people who signed the contract that still stands till today... Nigeria is not independent yet... Only a revolution can cancel that contract... If current leaders cannot adjust the constitution then the doom will continue till a bloody revolution arises

The man does not have asthma, look at someone even smoking behind him.he couldn't have permitted it if he's actually asthmatic.

@07:19 We need to watch the way we deliver our narratives. Nigeria was designed to make it difficult for the prime minister 'to do any how'. That is the essence of regionalism, and it was the bid to undermine that which started our political and economic problems.

I really love Belawa but Ifeajuna did not shoot him. Segun Osoba has said so.

You failed to mention Ahmadu bello and Balewa's complicity in the election rigging. Not to mention the part they allegedly played in Akintola's takeover and the false charges brought against the Great Awolowo.

If we want to fully address this problem, we have to first start with honesty. The igbos were the one's who staged the first military coup in Nigeria, which led to a series of multiple successive coups. They killed most if not all of the notable leaders of the other regions especially in the North such as Tafawa Balewa and Sir Ahmadu Bello. Not only that, they later launch a war against the Nigerian government which can be seen as a treason able offense. The igbos lost that war, and due to sentiments from that the igbos are being marginalised politically till this day in Nigeria. Not saying that is right, because that is revisiting the sins of the father on the son. But let's not pretend like the igbos are an innocent party in this. Because if the 1966 coup had succeeded or they igbos had won the biafran war, we would be having a completely different conversation today.

This comment session shows that we still have a long way to go as a nation.
Like it or not, the coup was an Igbo coup, argue all you want, the facts show it was an Igbo coup and no amount of trying to revise history can change that. Yes, the counter coup also heated everything up and this led to the Nigerian Civil war, those are the undiluted facts.
As for me, every Nigerian i see, is my brother and no amount of propaganda by either the igbos, yoruba or hausa can change that.
Souls were lost on both the Nigerian and biafra side, the igbos were marginalized and yet rose to become the greatest economic force in our country today❤. Okay, if you all want to continue living in the past continue, but don't forget, the rich will keep getting richer and the poor keeps getting poorer😂😂

Psss...My igbo brothers, the more you attempt to twist history to make it look the coup plotters were saints or the coup was not an igbo coup, the more it all sounds childish. The northeners have never denied the pogrom in the north, take a cue from that and stop making excuses. The first coup was an igbo coup and it was one of the major catalyst of the beginning of
problems in Nigeria, that's fact.

It has happened, we can't change the past. For those still clamoring for Biafra, i wish you success ❤
