I'm sticking with 35 watt on my EvoX-Rs and Philips 85122+ bulbs I just ordered. I'm afraid 55 watts would actually kill distance vision. I plan on making a foreground limiter for mine too. Some people are happy with 55 watt, but I think my eyes would easily get tired with that much light, especially in the foreground. I thought of going with FX-Rs, but the EvoX-Rs are supposed to win distance-wise. I'd only use FX-Rs on a vehicle that had separate high beams.

Sorry for the late answer.

I had 35W Hilux ballasts, and compared to these Morimoto's they are 20-30% less bright. 55W doesn't kill distance vision, not on my EvoXR. Distance light is good, foreground light is a little more bright, but hey; nothing is perfect.

I didn't know how to make foreground limiter so it is how it is. I'm satisfied with this setup, only considering to buy Philips X-trem Visio D2S bulbs that are No1 on the market, better then CBI and SVS

You fitted EvoX-R's to your Astra's original bi-xenons? Was it a straight swap?
How much better are they? I'm thinking of doing this to my Astra too.

Hey there. How do you replace the projector? The car has bixenon OEM equipment? Thanks
