Sometimes I save them though, the ones that trigger the memories, of the good times at least. It’s fun to kind of just time travel in my mind and go from now to 5 years ago with just a scent

True! But I've gotten to a point where "that old song" or perfume or movie or music or anything that id associate with any form of negativity (not necessarily a relationship memory) or even a person....I try to separate it. That way I can still enjoy something I like for what it is and make new better memories.
