Sponsored by the Black Lake Association, an aquatic weed harvesting boat is clearing a channel on Black Lake this summer. The harvester has removed thousands of pounds of invasive Eurasian milfoil, since the end of bass spawning in June. A cleared channel, at the northern end of the lake, has provided a smoother pass for boaters. The harvested weeds are then trucked to a local dairy farm to be used as fertilizer. This video was filmed by Ellis Giacomelli and Christopher Lenney, and produced by Christopher Lenney for NNY360 and the Watertown Daily Times.
