Tishana Voice of Thunder
This new Ixalan commander felt like it just couldn't measure up to the competition in simic ... until I explored some really unique strategies.

I think you should've mentioned that her ETB trigger is what makes her good so there's an option to go for ETB effects. Your ideas sound amazing. Artifacts definitely didn't come to my mind as I saw her.

I'm actually really impressed with your deck tech. I was too hesitant to think that Tishana wouldn't have a single viable battle plan, but building a deck around Maros and Sunder seems like a really cool and an original strategy that will make some jaws drop.

Like I said, really impressed. I look forward to your other deck techs in Ixalan.

I actually have a super janky deck for tishana. First you fill the deck with a ton of dorks and maybe a few rocks then you add cards that can tap to bounce a creature then you add the key card paradox engine. With this set up you can repeatedly bounce tishana to get a lab man win, storm off, or my personal fav use an overwhelming stampede style card and since tishana will be huge you attack in for an insane amount. It’s super janky but looks so fun

Looks super fun, add Kefnet, the Mindful in there for drawing and picking up lands too

My build was elf clone and it played insanely well. A few clones of Elvish Archdruid solves any mana problems. Tish was instant death commander damage with over 20 cards in my hand. My elves were backed by Cyclonic Rift, Rite of Replication, Curse of the swine, and counters and then a mystical tutor to go for Praetor's Counsel to do it all over again. Which I had to do since one guy had fog type effects. Had to swing for lethal against the table 3 times.

I'm working on a deck in the same vein as the Rosewater tribal you talked about, and Tishana was definitly the catalyst. It's not helmed by her though, but Kynaios & Tiro. They help with both increasing your hand size and playing any lands you've returned if the need arises. It also lets me play two more of the kamigawa spirits, and some red spells that damage my opponents based on hand sizes or land ramp. It's really fun to build around, so let's hope it actually works.

This sounds amazing! Something Simic has always wanted to do I think that tishana seems to bring together. Sunder + Storm seeker is BEAUTIFUL! Just been playing Shandalar for the first time and Storm Seeker is an amazing anomaly of the colour pie ^.^

Not sure if there is a way to 'break' it easily: maybe amulet of Vigor

But Patron of the Moon plus this bounce land strategy could be a fun idea. Bounce a few lands to draw, and if you need them you pay 1 and put 2 back down.

Really like these vids! Just wish you made more BUDGET commander deck tech's. Personally I'd love to see decks ranging from 50-100$ with some suggested upgrades. I also think that would allure a broader audience.

My idea for tishana is involving +1/+1 counters through graft and evolve. It’s a denizens of the deep that’ll involve two Kiora planeswalkers master of the depths and crasher of waves. Each merfolk spell I drop will create tokens thanks to the new merfolk enchantment from ixalan and it’ll include merrow commerce for having them untap at the end of my turn.

Quirky little on-theme cards to fit into a Maro tribal deck: Rending Vines and Deprive.

For the Rosewater tribal, how about Enter the Infinite? Draw your deck and your creatures become huge.

jankiest combo i plan to build. arcane adaptation naming allies, turntimber ranger, create 2/2 wolf ally, repeat for infinite wolf allies, psychosis crawler type deal or laboratory maniac, drop tishana, draw everything. massive wins. many different ways to play the turntimber arcane type deal, earth craft squirrel nest is also just inf token gen, maybe with a craterhoof, maybe instead of psychosis crawler, maniac or craterhoof, you make a bunch of tokens, play chasm skulker, drop tishana, and momentous fall either of them into an aetherflux reservoir. such good, such jank, such unbelievably situational interactions.

Awesome deck tech, as usual, Jumbo. Personally, I'm looking at Ixalan as a way of upgrading Edgar Markov, and there are only a few cards there I think wouldn't fit.

Now here comes the real question; Pirate Tribal deck tech when?

Wow, that * /* 'tribal' deck seems like a lot of fun and very unique.. i'm definitely going to start net-decking that and see how expensive it is.. maybe I'll have another Commander deck soon :-) Great inspiration!
