I'm a teacher. I love Google and use all things Google when teaching. I switched from Apple to Pixel and it's really helped me when using Google Docs and Classroom on my phone. They should market more towards teachers and students since Google dominates in the Ed world. I think they'd see a difference in their consumers if they did that !

Additionally, I am a TEACHER and I can't afford a phone that's $1, 000. I left Apple because of the inflated prices and subpar phones that felt outdated after a few months. I love my Pixel 3XL and I was only able to buy it because I got it for $499 through a Verizon promotion! Google's best bet is to provide the consumer with kick-ass tech and specs, but at an affordable price. They'd really change the game with that!

The Pixel 3 was overlooked by a hundred thousand people last year because they refuse to provide a micro SDcard slot. It's become such an annoying issue it's literally become Us vs Them (Google). I've badly wanted a Pixel device since the original but I don't own any movies on Play Movies. I do however have a 400 GB SDcard in my Galaxy S8. If they refuse to provide an SDcard slot so we're all forced to buy movies or music through their services and pay $300 more for outdated hardware then they're not any different than Apple. The screen in the Pixel 2 literally looked like the galaxy S6. The screen in the Pixel 3 looks like the S7... I only paid $570 for my S8 over 2 years ago and I still like it more than the Pixel 3. So a fair price for the Pixel 4 would be around $600. Pixel 3.. $375. They need to fix the color profile for their screens. It's not even close to Samsung and add an sd slot. Then they can charge $800 for their Pixel 4 and I'll know if I spent that much everything is going to be right with the phone.

The Pixel 4 should cost $599 with the XL starting at $699 if they want to start building a fanbase within the general people that don't follow tech. In a world where the OnePlus beats the Pixel on almost everything but camera, Google can't simply price their phones $200 more expensive than OnePlus. At that point even the tech enthusiasts aren't going to be here for the Pixel. The general people simply don't see Google as Apple or Samsung. The iPhone 11 starts at $699 and Samsung devices are always on sale for lower than that. Google needs to be aggressive and realize that building a dedicated following that will buy expensive devices takes time. They need to go back to what they were doing with the Nexus devices at least until they become more popular. I really REALLY want Google to succeed and become a mainstream phone maker, but I fear they will try to price their phones at $800+ and that will make it a tough sell for the random Joe walking into a store.

I totally agree with the price drop. The Pixel devices have not proven themselves to be priced like an iPhone. Actually forget the iPhone, they got OnePlus to deal with in terms of competition.

Dear, Google
These are modern hardware updates that should be standard:
1) Fast *wireless* charging
2) Quick/Fast USB Charging
3) Making your phones *thicker* to accommodate higher battery capacity.

Things you should look into:
1) Keeping the fingerprint scanner on the *back* of the phone to *also* summon the notification shade. (Less interaction with the screen)
2) Wide angle lens. (Imagine the software integration [eg: wide angle night mode]!!)

Additional inventives:
1) More competitive pricing
2) Offering more than just free unlimited storage for 2 years

Face unlock should combine with Soli and have an additional security measure of facial gesturing. Facial recognition, then wiggle your nose or stick out your tongue or inflate your cheeks. Two factor facial authenication.

i kept saying this, google made a camera that could call of making a good phone with a camera. now all the competitors that actually focused on the phones now also have comparable (or better) cameras.

The price should definitely not be over $700 because google is not nearly as big as their competitors. The low price of their newest phone will get a lot of attention and possibly become a more popular company.
